Nautilocalyx glandulifer is an endemic species to Ecuador. The leaves are black on the top and purple on the bottom. They are covered with dense short purple hairs. It has a short and branching growth habit. The flowers are white with purple markings on the upper petals. This is a member of the African Violet family and care most be taken to keep it out of cold drafts and do not water with cold water.
