Fatshedera lizei 'Angyo Star' is an evergreen shrub hybrid between Fatsia japonica and Hedera helix (English Ivy). 'Angyo Star' got the best of both parents; it has giant ivy-shaped leaves with a beautiful cream variegation/margin but will not root into stucco or spread where unwanted. Add some color to your to your shady garden spots. The stems will need to be staked or supported and it can be grown indoors in lower light conditions. If planting outdoors, it seems to be cold hardy down to 20 degrees Fahrenheit; however, deer tend to love eating Fatshedera. The original hybrid was found in a garden in Nantes, France in 1910.
