Chamaeranthemum venosum is a great plant for a terrarium or small pot. I am not sure why the common name for this plant is “India Plant”, because it is native to Brazil, but it is a lovely little creeper. The leaves are green with gray veins, and have an oval shape. It has a spike with five petaled, lavender and white flowers that look like little stars. This plant will spread along the ground or pot and make a mat. It can be planted in dish garden with other plants to add contrast.
Care of Chamaeranthemum venosum:
Shade to partial shade, temp. 50 to 95 degrees, 4 to 6 in. tall, allow getting slightly dry between waterings.
Family: Acanthaceae
This plant is shipped in a 3.5 - 4 inch pot.
