Begonia ‘Blazing Sun’ is a beautiful Australian hybrid by Ross Bolwell.
The medium sized leaves on this rhizomatous cultivar are burgundy with black markings near the shallowy lobed leaf margin. It has a striking silky texture and is sometimes marketed as Begonia ‘Silky Lustre’. It is well branched and has a compact growth habit. The light pink flowers cluster above the foliage in winter and early spring. This makes a great houseplant in a bright window.
