Begonia metallica variegata is a variegated version of Begonia metallica. This plant is shrub-like species originating from Brazil. The leaves are medium green with dark sunken veins and has unique cream and pink variegation; each leaf is different. The leaf margin is lobed and both surfaces are covered with short hairs. The leaves have been described as looking like embossed silk. The growth habit is upright. The flowers are pink with red hairs on the buds and appear in summer and fall. This is an easy to grow, upright, full begonia.
