Philodendron 'Dean McDowell' is a cross between P. gloriosum and P. pastazanum. The stems grow horizontally across the ground sending up giant heart-shaped leaves. The large foliage can exceed two feet in length and have a ruffled texture. Due to the creeping nature of the plant, it will grow to a maximum height of about 3 feet indoors or 6.5 feet in tropical climates where it can be grown outdoors.
