Tradescantia sillamontana is a very attractive species from the mountains of Northern Mexico. It is usually called "Cobweb Spiderwort" but other common names are "White Velvet," "Hairy Wandering Jew" and "White Gossamer Plant". The green leaves are covered with white hairs. It has a compact growth habit but will eventually trail over a basket or pot. The three petaled flowers are pink and it blooms frequently when getting bright light. It is cold hardy in zones 7 - 10.
