Monstera spruceana is an epiphytic aroid native to tropical regions of Central America. Like other monsteras, its leaves transform as that plants climbs. Juvenile leaves are small and ovate. They grown flat against the climbing surface until mature leaves begin to form. As the plant climbs and becomes established leaves become highly fenestrated and can grow to several feet long. It is an easy to care for house plant that can be grown in a hanging basket if juvenile foliage is preferred. For fully fenestrated leaves, a climbing support that its aerial roots can cling to is required.
Care:
- Bright, indirect or filtered light
- Plant in well drained medium
- water when the top inch of soil is dry
- We recommend providing a climbing support for full growth potential.
Family: Araceae
This plant is shipped in a 3.5 inch pot.
