Begonia U696 is a new species from Maura Wahau, Kalimantan, Borneo. It has sometimes been sold under the name B. Maura Wahau.

It is a shrub type with small leaves that are olive green with a pink edge and pink spots. The stems are covered in tiny hair-like trichomes. It has a compact bushy growth habit.
