Begonia goldingiana

Begonia goldingiana is a relatively new species that is thought to be extinct in the wild. The original specimen was collected from rocky outcrops of the Atlantic forests of Brazil. This begonia has succulent disk-shaped leaves that are quite brittle and covered in fine hairs that will rub off if handled too much. This begonia likes to be dry; do not over water - treat much like a succulent.

Care of Begonia goldingiana:

  • Bright, indirect light
  • 45 to 95 degrees
  • Humidity 40-50%
  • 18 to 24 inches tall
  • Water when top two inches of soil are dry
