Peperomia prostrata is great for a terrarium, vivarium, or small dish garden. The leaves are about 1/4 to 1/2 in. across and are medium green with chocolate markings. As the name implies it creeps along the soil surface and will hang over a small planter or hanging basket. A common name for this little creeper is "Creeping Peperomia". The flowers are typical peperomia flowers, long spikes lined with tiny flowers.These spikes can be as long as 1.5 to 2 in. long.
