Begonia ‘Tar Baby’ is a black leaved, cane-like hybrid created by Billee and Don Asmussen of Corpus Cristi, Texas. The large leaves, when mature, are a glossy black color. It has a semi compact growth habit. The flowers are rosie pink to reddish in color. Occasionally some leaves will have faint silver spots. It makes a beautiful hanging basket.
