Don't forget WSA!!!

We strongly recommend adding WSA if your local HIGH temperatures are below 55 degrees Fahrenheit in your location.

Begonia amphioxus x ignita is an unnamed hybrid created by crossing two species (B. amphioxus with B. ignita) making an exquisite and exotic Begonia with a shrub-like growth habit. The flowers are orange and appear scattered among the foliage. The leaves have a deep bronze center with pink/red edges and spots throughout. This hybrid needs extra humidity and is usually grown in a terrarium.

Care of Begonia amphioxus x ignita:

  • Partial shade to bright indirect; grows well under grow lights but coloration may vary
  • 65% plus humidity - enclosure/cloche/terrarium highly recommended
  • Temp. 65 to 85 degrees F
  • Prefers to be snug in its pot.
  • Allow plant to get slightly dry between watering; if grown in a terrarium/enclosure with excess (80%+) humidity - likely significantly less watering will be needed
  • Will grow best in an enclosed container.

Family: Begoniaceae

This plant is shipped in a 3-4 inch pot.
