Soleirolia soleirolii (Baby's Tears)
A synonym for this fast growing creeper is Helxine soleirolii. Common names for this Corsican native are ‘Baby Tears”, “Angel Tears”, and “Mind-Your-Own-Business”. People either love it or hate it. If grown in a mild winter, mild summer, moist, shady area it can become a pest. I love it for its lush cool look. The leaves are tiny and bright green. It will spread and form a low growing ground cover. It must be kept moist to survive. It can be grown in a terrarium or on the windowsill. It can be kept moist by keeping the pot in a tray of water. Give it shade to filtered sun.
Care of Soleirolia soleirolii:
Shade to partial shade, temp. 35 to 90 degrees, 1 to 2 in. tall, keep the soil fairly moist.
This plant is shipped in a 3.5 - 4 inch pot.
