Pilea hitchcockii 'Dark Mystery' is thought from Ecuador. The deep green (almost black) leaves are long and narrow with a center stripe of metallic silver running the full length. The new growth glows a warm rose color. I find it reminds me of a serpents belly. A great plant for a window or in a terrarium

I had ordered a pilea cadierei minima and Steve's Leaves also gave me a pilea dark mystery for free! It's perfect because i had wanted a dark mystery and actually found a tiny one at walmart a few days before. The one from Steve's Leaves is much healthier and is at least 3 times as big.
My plant leaves are very big and healthy and I love it will buy more.
