Begonia 'Steve's Leaves Mirto' is a Don Miller hybrid exclusive to Steve's Leaves. The spiral shaped leaves are a deep berry wine color with black margins. The name "Mirto" comes from an Italian liqueur made from the myrtle berries of the island of Sardinia. Like many rex hybrids, the colors in the leaves tend to vary depending on season. Colors tend to dull in the heat of summer but will become more vibrant again as the weather cools. The second picture shows the summer colors of the leaves and 3.5 inch pot.
Care of Begonia 'Steve's Leaves Mirto':
Shade to partial sun, temp. 50 to 95 degrees, 8 to 12 in. tall, likes higher humidity, allow getting fairly dry between waterings.
Family: Begoniaceae
This plant is shipped in a 3 inch pot.
