Begonia montaniformis is a very unique species from Vietnam. It naturally grows on limestone cliffs and slopes. This species shows its dark colored bullae when the leaves begin to mature. The emergent leaves are a magnificent red which can grow to a silver or green coloration, once hardened. This species requires high humidity to thrive.
