Aeschynanthus 'Rigel' is a cross between the trailing Aeschynanthus speciosus and the upright Aeschynanthus hildebrandii. The leaf is bright green. Its characteristics are intermediate between the two parents. So it trails but not quite as much as speciosus. The growth habit is a little more compact. The flowers are orange and trumpet shaped and appear in clusters. This hybrid is easy to grow and blooms frequently.
