Don't forget WSA!!!

We strongly recommend adding WSA if your local HIGH temperatures are below 55 degrees Fahrenheit in your location.

Albuca bracteata is sometimes called “Pregnant Onion” or “False Sea Onion”. A synonym for it is Ornithogalum longibracteatum or caudatum. There are lots of names for this easy to grow oddity. It is an heirloom pass-a-long plant that most people have gotten from the elderly lady down the street. But if you cannot fine that elderly lady, you can purchase it from Steve’s Leaves, and we will deliver it. It forms a large onion like base that when it gets older will split and from other bulbs on the side. The leaves are long green straps that arch down from the central stalk. The flower stalk shoots up from the main stem and has small star-like green and white flowers. This plant is very tolerant of neglect and will only die if given too much water.

Care of Albuca bracteata:
Sun to partial shade, temp. 40 to 95 degrees, 12 to 24 in. tall, allow getting dry between watering

Family: Liliaceae
