Kalanchoe blossfeldiana leaves are bright green and slightly fleshy, not as thick as some species of Kalanchoe. They are ovate in shape and have nicely scalloped edges. Kalanchoe blossfeldiana is named for German botanist and hybridizer Robert Blossfeld. Blossfeld introduced blossfeldiana to the horticultural world in 1932.
