The leaves are a very dark coloration looking almost black. The centers of the leaves are bright green. The leaves have small hairs on the leaves and the edges of them as well. The under side of the leaves are dark red. The stems exhibit a very striking red streak pattern throughout as well as have hairs. The plant parents are Begonia heracleifolia and Begonia 'Saxon's Mystery'.
