Dischidia ovata has oval shaped leaves that are dark green with golden veins. In bright light the normally green leaves will take on a purple hue. This is a trailer and will grow on a piece of cork bark in sphagnum moss. The tiny flowers appear in clusters and are yellow green with purple stripes. A common name for this little plant is “Watermelon Dischidia”.
