Begonia 'Old Blue'

Begonia 'Old Blue' is another one of our new hybrids that has just been introduced. This rhizomatous type, is a cross of B. U489 and B. sizemoreae. It has large oval shaped leaves that are sparsely covered with long white hairs. The leaf blade is a gray color with a silver band around the leaf. Under certain light conditions the gray in the leaf has a bluish iridescence. The back of the leaf is red. It blooms most of the year with graceful blush pink flowers. This is a fast grower and will make a large specimen. It has a large mounding growth habit.
