Don't forget WSA!!!

We strongly recommend adding WSA if your local HIGH temperatures are below 55 degrees Fahrenheit in your location.

Begonia 'Tingley Mallet' is a classic. It was introduced in about 1884-6 by M. Lionnet in Jouy-en-Jonas, France. It is a cross between a rex, B. 'Eldorado' and a shrub species B. incarnata purpurea. It is a member of the Mallet type canes but I feel the growth habit is more shrub-like and is frequently classified as a shrub. The leaves are a purplish red and covered with tiny hairs that give it a velvet like texture. The flowers are bright pink. This is an heirloom cultivar from France.
