Begonia foliosa is a shrub type Begonia species from South America. The leaves are very small and line the arching branches. The tiny flowers are white and are sprinkled throughout the foliage in spring and early summer. This freely branching charmer makes an elegant hanging basket. A common name for this unusual Begonia is “Fern Begonia.” Give this beauty a little extra humidity and keep away from extreme heat.

Begonia foliosa

Am delighted to receive B. foliosa in the pink/white form, planted as an upright/ cascade in a hayrack outdoors this summer. Have previously grown B. foliosa in the red form and wish that you also offered it.
