Begonia 'Elsa' is another spectacular cane-like hybrid produced by Lyla Kilpatrick of Perth, Western Australia. It is a hybrid of B. 'Lenore Olivier' and the Brazilian species maculate. The leaves are very large almost black with faint silver spots. The back of the leaf is blood red. The leaves can be 12" to 14" long. It has an upright growth habit. The flowers are pink to a very light blush pink.
