Begonia burkillii (silver edge form) is a gorgeous Indian species brought into cultivation by Rekha Morris, through her dangerous collecting trips to the highly restricted areas of Arunachal Pradish in Northern India. This is a selection from seed provided by Rekha Morris. This species is dioecious, which means it has separate male and female flowers on different plants. This form or clone of the species has female flowers and the leaves have a wide silver edge and large silver section on them. The large female flowers are light pink. When it blooms it has lots of flowers clustered near the base of the plant. This botanical prize does require extra humidity so it does need to be grown in a humid greenhouse or large terrarium.

Shade to partial shade, temp. 55 to 95 degrees, 8 to 10 in. tall, allow getting fairly dry between watering.
