Begonia 'Steve's Leaves Yellow Jacket' Won Best New Introduction at the SW region Begonia Society show in 2019. It was also on the cover of the American Begonia society magazine in July of 2019. We believe this is the first yellow-flowered rex begonia created and the yellow flowers are what make this begonia so special. The oval leaves are green and red with silver and red markings but this plant loves to bloom in the spring and fall and it blooms profusely with large clusters of yellow flowers with red backs and ovaries that glow against the foliage. It loves to show off displaying its flowers high above the leaves for everyone to see. Like many rex hybrids, the colors in the leaves tend to vary depending on season. Colors tend to dull in the heat of summer but will become more vibrant again as the weather cools.
