Impatiens hawkeri variegata was not introduced to the US until the 1970s. Since then it has exploded in popularity and has become one of the most popular bedding plants today. This plant will tolerate shade and must be protected from full sun.

Care of Impatiens hawkeri:
Shade to partial sun, temp. 45 to 90 degrees, 8 to 10 in. tall, keep moist, do not allow it to get dry between waterings.
