Pilea glauca

This little plant is at the center of some debate. It has been sold for many years under Pilea glauca. But it is suspected that this name was just a common name used by retailers because it’s true identity was not known. The little plant is believed to be Pilea libanensis. But regardless of what you want to call it, I will still call it beautiful. The tiny silver-gray leaves add contrast to a collection of green plants. It has a trailing growth habit and will make a beautiful small hanging basket. Allow this one to get dry between watering.

Shade to partial shade, temp. 40 to 95 degrees, 1 to 2in. tall, allow getting dry between watering
