Begonia rubriflora

Begonia rubriflora is a beautiful species from Argentina. This species has been cultivated since the early 80's as U014. It was recently described as a new species in 2011 (see Begonian July August 2011). It has a bushy shrub-like habit. The lance shaped leaves are dark green and it has numerous clusters of bright orange flowers. This species is the parent of many outstanding hybrids, such as 'Christmas Candy', 'Firebird' and 'Dragon Wing'.

Care of Begonia rubriflora:
Shade to partial sun, temp. 45 to 95 degrees, 15 to 18 ins. tall, allow getting slightly dry between watering
