Porphyrocoma pohliana is commonly called “Brazilian Fireworks” because of the bright colors of the inflorescence. It is also called “Rose Pinecone Plant” and “Purple Shrimp Plant”. It is a native to Brazil. The leaves are long and narrow, grey green color with silver markings. The inflorescence has a hot pink caylx with magenta pink flowers. It grows in a low rosette. This is a very striking tropical plant.

Shade to partial shade, temp. 50 to 95 degrees, 6 to 10in. tall, allow getting slightly dry between watering
