Sphaeropteris cooperi (syn. Cyathea cooperi) is a species of tree fern native to New South Wales in Australia. It is also known as the Scaly Tree Fern, because the trunk of mature specimens is covered in attractive silky scales. In habitat, this species can grow to nearly 50 feet tall, with fronds reaching a length of up to 20 feet. This plant prefers shady and humid conditions and will not do well in full sun. It is often used in gardens and landscaping.

Shade to partial shade, temp. 50 to 90 degrees. Keep fairly moist.
