Begonia acetosa is a wonderful species begonia from Brazil. It is rhizomatous with a low growth habit. The leaves are medium sized, olive green on the top and red in the bottom. What makes this species so nice is the velvety texture of the leaves. The red velvety undersides are really eye catching, the flowers are white. This is a beauty for the greenhouse, garden room, or conservatory. It likes bright light, dry between watering, and a little extra humidity.
