Aeschynanthus longicaulis is an Asian native also listed under the synonym Aeschynanthus marmoratus. It is also sometimes called ‘Black Pagoda’. The flowers are long tubes and green in color. The leaves are green with maroon veining. The back of the leaf is maroon. It has a trailing growth habit and is a very fast grower. It will make a very large hanging basket. It blooms sporadically in the spring and summer.
Care of Aeschynanthus longicaulis
Shade to partial shade, temp. 60 to 95 degrees, 10 to15in. tall, trailing over the basket or pot, allow the soil to get fairly dry between watering.
