Siderasis fuscata is a very unusual tropical spiderwort. The common name is "Brown Spiderwort". The leaves are bronze with a broad silver band down the middle. The back of the leaf is purple. The whole leaf is covered with hairs that give it a furry feel to it, as you run your finger over the leaf. You will want to pet this plant. The purple flowers have three petals and appear in the center of the rosette of leaves. It is low growing and does well in low light as a house plant.
