Nematanthus wettsteinii is beautiful little trailing species. The thick, oval leaves are a dark forest green. It has a bushy growth habit and will eventually trail over the edge of the pot or hanging basket. The dark green leaves are thick and very glossy. The flowers are produced in the leaf axils and look like bright orange guppies swimming in a sea of dark green foliage. In fact, a common name for this plant is “Guppie Plant”. I’m very excited about this plant. It’s on the small side but very healthy. I expect it to fill out my hanging basket soon!
